dress: dorothy perkins | ring: primark
I took advantage of the 25% off code (DPVIP - 25% off everything until Sunday 22nd May) and treated myself to this dress. Dorothy Perkins isn't a place I usually shop in but every so often they do have something that I really like. I also bought a lovely cream dress from one of their concessions but I'm still trying to decide whether to keep or return it. I love it, but it's so short! I'll take some photos and see what you guys think. I've been looking for a floaty cream dress for ages and it would be perfect for the big night out I've got planned at the start of June!
My battery died before taking any decent detailed shots of my ring and nails which is a shame because I love my nails at the moment. They're simply just Barry M 'Bright Pink' (perfect Barbie pink colour!) with some white drips painted on. It reminds me of a strawberry milkshake for some reason.
I can´t get enough of your hair. I know I´m saying this in every single comment and am probs getting quite annoying but I just love your haircut (especially the fringe and the layering) and your colour.
ReplyDeleteJust so that I´m not completely rambling - cute dress, too:) x
Your dress is gorgeous Charlene, I think you should keep it ;) The little lace trim and collar is so lovely. And you are absolutely my nail art inspiration! xxx
ReplyDeleteI've got this dress :) it's a keeper!

Daniela - Aww, thanks lovely! I don't get sick of hearing it at all. I'm actually ready to get my hair all cut off (despite wanting to grow it long so badly!) because it's annoying me so much so you're comments are helping to convince me to keep growing it! :) xx
ReplyDeleteMichelle - Definitely going to keep the dress! :) My Mum said the lace trim might it look like something you'd wear to bed haha! xx
Gem - Dress twins! :D I'm definitely keeping it! It was the other dress I bought that I'm not sure about.. but I'll try get some pictures of that posted tomorrow or Friday and you can help me decide. :) xx
That dress is fantastic/ adorable! And I really love what you've done with your lipstick! x
ReplyDeleteI sometimes find Dorothy Perkins surpising! Its not somewhere I really look either, I swear the style slowly gets older and older? Or maybe its me getting older?! I dunno - But sometimes they have the odd gem, your dress being one of them obv, I love it! Definitely keep it :D
ReplyDeleteHowever, I love your nails SO much more, they;re amazing! How on earth do you get the drips?! :O
xxxx
The nails are fabulous from what I can see of them! Definitely keep it, it's pretty :)

nails remind me of ice cream melting onto your hands in the summer! :) x
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! I've found some really pretty things in Dorothy Perkins lately which is surprising because I've never been keen on the store, looks like I'm slowly changing my mind! I love what you've done with your nails too! x
ReplyDeleteloving the dress and bunny ring combo :) x
ReplyDeleteRachel - Thank you! The lipstick is my favourite colour. It looks more pink in the photos than what it really is though! xx
ReplyDeleteSarah - Yeah, DP has quite a mature style I find! I usually walk past the shop because I can't be bothered digging through everything but the website's quite good. xx
Sophie Isobel - Thank you! I'll post more detailed shots of the nails tomorrow x
Sophie - I got it a few months back so I don't think they'll still have it in stock at the moment which is a shame! xx
Half Dressed - Thank you! I love the pink too, which is surprising as I usually hate pink! xx
Kia - Ooh, that's true :) I might paint some colourful sprinkles on them later xx
Tess - I never usually go into the shop (apart from to look at the shoes and jewellery!) but find lovely things on the website sometimes. I think a lot of their clothes are too mature and smart for my style though. xx
Tat - Thank you :) xx
Oh this dress is really cute and classic. I love the look of your nails too, the description of them as 'strawberry milkshake' is too cute x
ReplyDeleteI love the dress - a black dress with cream/white lace or peter pan collar is always a winning combo! x Charlotte
ReplyDeleteLove that dress, the collar is so cute. I'm not supposed to be spending any more money at the moment, but seen as there's 25% off I might just have to treat myself to something from Dorothy Perkins!
ReplyDeleteI love your nails too, I wish mine were long enough to do some proper nail art!
I absolutely love that dress! and your nails are so lovely :)

ReplyDeleteso so so surprised that is from dorothy perkins! really like it, suits you lots xxx
ReplyDeleteJasmin - Thank you! I don't think you can go wrong with a simple dress like this. :) xx
ReplyDeleteCharlotte - Exactly, hehe. It's so simple yet I love the massive big collar! xx
Gillian - Thank you! I'm trying my hardest not to spend anything either (saving for a new camera!) but it was just so tempting, especially with the code! Nail art could be a good incentive to try and grow them longer. Grow them long and I'll come do your nails, okay?! ;) xx
Lou - Thank you! :) xx
Char - Thanks lovely :) xx
Khaz - Thanks! The collar is what makes the dress that bit special I think! xx
Cherry - Thank you, the DP site has some gems on it at the moment, especially in their concessions! xx
Elise - Thank you :) xx
Amy - Thank you and also thanks for following xx
Kristie - Thank you hun :) xx
RCagz - I done the drips using the Models Own nail art pen but before I got those I done it using the normal polish brush and then a thin paint brush to neaten up around the edges. It's not as difficult as it looks, you should try it :) xx
Aimee - Thank you, I'll try get some better photos of them! Had to crop this one from a full length shot. xx
Rocketship - Thank you! :) xx
Zoe - I know, totally doesn't look like DP does it!? xx
That dress is so cute, I was checking out Dorothy Perkins just last night!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your nails, they are so cute! How do you do the drips on the tips (haha that rhymed)?
xoxo,
