Following on from last weeks post featuring my nail polish collection, I've decided to show you my 5 favourite nail polishes. I do go through phases (currently loving nice soft colours like lilac and mint green) but these 5 polishes are my go to colours for cheering myself up!
001. Models Own - Disco Mix
This is my all time favourite. It's a dense glittery nail polish made up of the most gorgeous purple, blue and fuchsia glitters. It does take a bit of patience to apply, because if you're anything like me you'll want to layer up a few coats to make sure that there are no patchy areas without glitter!
002. Models Own - Slate Green
This polish is in my top 5, not just because I love the colour, but because it's a dream to apply. It only needs one coat and is so glossy that I usually don't even bother with a top coat. I love the brush on Models Own nail polishes because it makes them so neat to apply - I didn't even have to clean this up before taking any photos.
003. Barry M - Mint Green
Judging by the amount of times I wear this nail polish, it's no surprise that it's one of my favourites. It's just the perfect colour. Char sent me a bottle of it at easter and it's already more than half way finished!
004. Barry M - Bright Pink
I call this nail polish my 'Barbie pink colour', because it's exactly the shade you associate with Barbie. I'm not a big fan of pink but there's just something about this colour. It's so bright and can't help but feel happy whenever I'm wearing it!
005. Eyeko - Rain Polish
When I first bought this nail polish I was a bit disappointed. I can't remember exactly why since I really love this colour now, but I was! It sat in my nail polish box for months and months before I used it and suddenly one day I realised that it's a really lovely grey/blue colour.
Are any of these nail polishes your favourites too? I'd love to know what everyones favourites are. I'm planning on buying more glitter polishes soon, so any recommendations would be great! Now the tough part - which of these colours do I use to paint my nails tonight?!
The slate green looks so dreamy-- I wish they stopped focusing so much on coral and made more turquoise-y and green nail polishes.

ReplyDeletethe barry m mint green is one I use all the time! but i suppose about 80% of my nail polish colleciont is barry m, i just love the colours and for liek 3 quid there really nice quality :)

aroselikethis - yeah, a huge chunk of my collection is barry m. i'm starting to go off of them though as the quality isn't the best. but for £3 you can't really complain! x
kia - ohh please do! i love seeing other peoples nail polishes :) i've saw a lot of nice OPI glitter polishes, time to buy a few i think! x
I love the disco mix polish, it's gorgeous! I have Models Owns' bluebelle & magenta divine, I've always wanted to try mixing them up to see what effect it creates but I haven't yet!

I have disco mix but it just come out horribly clumpy =/ I love the colours in it though!

ReplyDeleteI really love the Disco Mix one as well, it looks super fancy and I can imagine it can really brighten up outfits.
Rain is one of my Top 5 favourites too (: The consistency is a little watery for my liking, but that's a very small sacrifice to make for such a nice colour! My current favourites are Eyeko's Nude, and Models Own Grace Green. xx
