I though this product would be quite appropriate for the current weather we're experiencing!
I like my Lush bath ballistics to be sweet, fizzy, coated with glitter and to create some sort of exciting colour change or mass of bubbles when they get put into the water. I make an exception for butterball because of how soft it leaves my skin, but simple bath ballistics like So White usually aren't my cup of tea.
So White is described as 'a pure white bath of apple temptation' and contains a mixture of apple, orange flower and rose oils. The smell is really musky, quite a soapy smell, and not to my personal tastes. Once dissolved in your bath it's not a strong scent and I can see a lot of people who complain of Lush being too overpowering liking it. It comes across as being quite a mature ballistic.
It didn't do much to the bath water, except create a white foam on top. The foam was lovely and soft, and it did leave my skin moisturised, but personally I think I'll stick to Butterball for simple relaxing baths.
What's your preference? Do you prefer the all singing all dancing products from Lush or do would you rather keep things simple and glitter free?
Me too, can't beat a butterball though! :) x
ReplyDeleteYep, me too! I think I'm making a point of working my way through every bath ballistic at the moment and there's bound to be a few I'm not keen on! x
ReplyDeleteThey definitely do! :) x
ReplyDeleteI've got a whole hatbox filled with bath bombs, so addicted! Have the tried the Golden Wonder bath bomb? I'll be reviewing it next week and it's AMAZING. x
ReplyDeleteFrom the comments I've received so far I think we all are! :) x
ReplyDeleteGolden Wonder, DO IT! It's a limited edition Christmas one and it's AMAZING. I'll be posting about it next week. :) Twilight isn't too crazy but it's really nice! x
ReplyDeleteI mostly go for scents too, it just usually happens that the ones I like (mostly sweet scents) are all brightly coloured and coated in glitter. Yay! :) x
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I feel about butterball, the scent of So White just didn't do it for me. x
ReplyDeleteGlad someone else agrees that this isn't a great ballistic! :) x
ReplyDeleteOh I totally understand that feeling - that was me a few yrs ago! Let me know what sort of thing you're interested in trying and I can make some recommendations. :) x
ReplyDeleteHaha, sorry! I'm actually on a ban from Lush (umm.. apart from essentials) until I the huge stash I've got! x
ReplyDeleteI never agree either but sooo many people think they're too over-powering! It's definitely what makes them Lush. :) x
ReplyDeleteOh I don't know what I'd do without a bath! I don't think I'd move to somewhere that didn't have one! I do love a bit of Snow Fairy though. I've been using it in my hair aswell so that I can sniff it all day! ;) x
ReplyDeleteHaha, I can see your point! I don't find that the glitter covers the bath too much, but I always rinse the bath after using it anyway. I love bubble bars too, especially the candy mountain one! x
ReplyDeleteI really love the glittery ones and the ones that smell sweet but I love 'So White' when I need a simple relaxing bath because it doesn't overwhelm with scent. :) S xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like im the only one who hates glitter! Why would you want a bath to end up covered in glitter?! Just don't get it! I love lush bit my preference is for bubble bars! I have to have bubbles! Loving your blog!x

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, the bright, scented and glittery ones are much better!
ReplyDeleteSo sad that my flat doesn't have a bath in it, a big bubbly Lush bath sounds amazing right now. Having to make do with dousing myself in Snow Fairy shower gel instead haha!

i would definitely be disappointed with it not being a strong scent once you're in the bath. i never agree when people say lush products are too overpowering, thats what makes them lush! x
ReplyDeletelovely post, personally I go for the glittery bath bombs as I'm all for glitter!
ReplyDeleteI need a lush bath bomb in my life, any recommendations for the best all singing all dancing one? xx
ReplyDeleteI like to use the glitter ones every now and again but I go more in for scents really at Lush. Recently used the Lil Lush Pud and loved that!

Oh I do love Lush.... They're amazing. I agree with you on this one though - I was a teeny bit let down by this ballistic. All fizz and no foundations I say!

ReplyDeleteOh god now I've seen these I feel the need to buy some more bathbombs. The last ones I bought filled my bath with so much glitter it was divine! *runs to lush*
