Natural Collection isn't a brand that I've paid much attention to in the past but I was browsing Boots lately when I noticed a sign saying that every product was under £2 and decided to add a new lipstick to my collection. At this price, it was definitely worth trying!
After paying just £1.89 for a lipstick, I wasn't expecting much so imagine my shock when I applied it for the first time and discovered that it's quite possibly the best red lipstick I have EVER tried. Yes, really, and I own a lot of red lipsticks.
The colour is a very true to colour blue toned cherry red, perfect for my pale skin and dark hair. It's very pigmented although I wouldn't say the product delivers on the shine it promises, and I'd actually describe it as being semi-matte.
The formula is soft, but not overly creamy, making it easy to apply. I often find that red lipsticks can be too creamy, making it difficult to achieve a neat application. This one takes seconds to apply and there's no need for a lip liner as unlike a lot of my other lipsticks, it doesn't bleed and you won't end up with lipstick smeared all over your face. Just me? Oh. I suffer from dry lips, however this is actually really moisturising and doesn't dry them out at all. It has great staying power too - proven by the night out I wore it on, where I drank lots, didn't re-apply once and woke up the next morning with my lips still stained red.
It really is that good! If you like red lipstick and have a spare £2 (!!) then you definitely need to try this! I'll definitely be trying out more products from Natural Collection.

i wasn't too keen on the MUA ones I tried, they didn't seem very pigmented and were all quite oily? i definitely recommend this one though! x
