dress: new look
I decided to bare my legs today - for the first time this year! I'm seriously pale, and most of the time I'm fine with that, but my legs are looking awful at the moment so I think it's time to invest in a gradual tanner to give myself a nice light glow. Can anyone recommend one that's good for pale skin? I don't suit a full on St Tropez style tan at all so nothing that will make me orange!
I'm trying to grow my hair and my layers are all at that really awkward length so I've been using Dust It and plenty of backcombing to give it a bit of volume and mess it up a little. It's really frustrating me at the moment so it made me feel a bit better when a few of you said it was looking nice in my last post.
Anyway, I'd better go - I'm picking my friend Martina up to go for a picnic. Hope everyone enjoys their day. :)
try palmers cocoa butter natural bronze body lotion. i'm really plae skinned too and this is the only gradual tanner ive found that works! :) x
ReplyDeleteAww love you look gorgeous. I'm a fan of the dress, you look super sweet. Tan wise...Xen Tan...cannot recommend it enough. Garnier do a good one if you're looking for something a bit more high street and lets you build it up. Go for the gel though. x
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely m'dear - the print on that dress is so cute :)
ReplyDeletei'm totally with you on looking for a gradual tanner, I never thought i'd fake tan, but my legs cannot face the world like this! x
That dress is beautiful, and it fits you really well!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is gorgeous.. you look so summery, I am SO jealous! And you're hair actually looks lovely, which I thought as soon as I looked at you, even before I read that you're not liking it, so there you go :) xxx

ReplyDeleteI love that dress it's so cute and yes get the leg's out gal (I'm the same very very pale). Hope you had a fab Easter xxx
Oo gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteI always use Johnsons holiday skin, you can start of with the fair moisturiser and them build up as much as you want to get a deeper tan, and it smells a lot better than some of the one's I've used. On the down side it takes a while to dry, so best to use if you've got some time to spare.
xx
Gorgeous print - looks great on you! <3

Really really pretty dress :) I've used the Johnsons holiday skin lotion before and that was quite good as long as you make sure you rub it in and don't heap loads on, I ended up with orange toes at one point cause I got lazy with rubbing it in :P
ReplyDeleteI like your hair a lot! it has so much body. The print on your dress is so cute and playful. I love spring!
ReplyDeleteawww cutie. i like your hair like that! xx
ReplyDeleteI think that there's a Johnsons one that is meant to be quite good. I'm pale too, and I bought some put never had the self control to keep applying it everday. I love that dress, I remember seeing it in New Look a few times.

I don't use any fake tan products but I have a sun lotion from Avon that has a little bronzer in I put that on. Nice and subtle x
ReplyDeleteReally cute dress!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love backcombing and using dust it when I want volume :) xxx
ReplyDeletePretty dress, love the print! x
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great :) Ive been using my dust it too, its awesome eh! I actually really liked the st tropez gradual tanner, found it better than johnsons holiday skin or the garnier one I used for years. What's with all this sun in scotland eh?! :p xx

Lovely dress, Charlene! So cute!
ReplyDeleteMy advice is to embrace your pale skin! :) I never use any fake tan (mostly because I can't be bothered) and never go to sunbeds (too dangerous - and I'm a wimp!). I know everyone avoids sun lotion like the plague because they believe that it will stop them tanning, but I've found that it really helps to achieve a nice glow :) Even something as low as factor 10 will help.
You don't see many naturally coloured girls anymore, so decide to be pale and original! :)
