001. I am such a cinema addict. I've been to the cinema three times this week (notice my 'loyalty' ticket for Your Highness - haha!), madness. I really enjoyed Arthur, but I'm not sure how much of that was because of the storyline or how much was because it has my favourite man, Russell Brand, starring in it. Scream 4 was quite good too, although the storyline was identical to Scary Movie. Oh, and Your Highness? Don't waste your money seeing it! I was fooled into seeing it when Liam told me it was "just like Pineapple Express [my favourite film] but in the old mythical times" - LIES!
002. Happy Easter! I hope everyone has a lovely day and stuffs their face full of plenty of chocolate eggs. Is it just me or is easter egg (and advent calendar) chocolate the best kind?! I've spent this afternoon lounging around eating chocolate eggs at my Gran's house and I'm going out for dinner at an Italian tonight, yum!
003. I was talking to Helen on Twitter just a few days ago and we were saying how strange it is that neither of us had ate a Creme Egg, hot cross bun or an easter egg this year yet. Well, in less than 24 hours I had ate all three, haha! I had hot cross bun for breakfast... please note my attempt at turning it into a healthy breakfast by including a few strawberries on the side. ;)
004. I had a bit of a scare at the start of the week after and was feeling a bit down about things but the lovely Char kindly sent me a little Easter gift (look at the cute little chick! and the confetti!) to put a smile on my face and it works. She's seriously one of the most thoughtful people I know, you should go and check out her blog if you haven't already. :)
005. A few weeks ago I got lucky and won Rachael's giveaway over at All Things Blogged and Beautiful. I couldn't believe it when I received her email - just look at all the goodies I won! My favourite have to be the Benefit Mr Bright kit and the nail polishes. Thank you again Rachael!
006. Today marks the end of lent so I've finally been able to log back into Facebook after giving it up on the 9th of March. I wasn't missing it too much, I just think it's a really easy way to keep in touch with people who are living abroad or at opposite ends of the country. Hopefully I don't become addicted again though! A friend has already suggested that I give up this blog for lent next year, no chance! ;)
007. I placed my 2nd order with ELF at the start of the week and it arrived just 2 days later, with this gorgeous 32 piece eyeshadow palette as a free gift. I've been really impressed with the colour pay off and staying power so far. I also bought the studio powder brush as I heard it was good for liquid foundation and wow, I'm impressed! It gives flawless coverage and is both quick and easy to apply liquid foundation with. I will definitely be ordering from ELF again, the products are excellent, especially when most are less than £5 each!
I hope everyone has had a great week, I'm going to make an extra effort to blog a bit more this week. I just haven't been feeling very motivated to dress nice lately and have been moping around in leggings and tunics most of the time!
Oh, and one of my friends, Mandi, has started blogging recently. You should follow her because she's lovely!
I really want to see the new Scream film! After seeing your pics I definitely need to get some Hot Cross Buns!
ReplyDeleteI want to see all of those films ♥ x
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to go and see Arthur!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have had a good week haa :) xx

Oooh, love the food photos! Facebook is a cruel cruel site. I hate 90% of my friends list, haha. I'm a bit of a film geek too. I loooove my LOVEFiLM subscription more than most other things. Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, especially the hot cross bun, yum! And what an amazing free gift, need to investigate that brand! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you like the ELF eyeshadow collection, it's on my wish list so it's good to know it's a worthwhile buy.
ReplyDelete1. I don't go to the cinema enough! I really ought to see more!
ReplyDelete5. Wow - that is SUCH a good giveaway prize - I'm a total Benefit junkie!
001 - i am a complete cinema addict as well, which is actually really hard to find these days. i find that my friends and boyfriend don't like going and/or spending the money on it nearly as much as i do/don't mind spending the money on it. nothing beats seeing a film plastered infront of you so largely and with such great sound surrounded by scores of other strangers in the dark.
ReplyDelete004 - i hope you feel better, darling :) it is great to have wonderful and supportive friends. small snail mail packages really lift you up when you are down.
005 - congrats! i never win giveaways, haha.
006 - i can understand giving up facebook for lent, as it can turn into a vice, but i do not see blogging as a vice, so no reason to give that up next year! :P
007 - what an amazing palette to get FOR FREE.
Whaaa' your Highness was SO funny!!
ReplyDeleteomgsh you have some kind of luck when it comes to winning giveaways haha
ReplyDeleteI really want to see Arthur , I bloody love Russell Brand xx

That 5th picture made me frown a little - I want to go shopping! What a great giveaway prize! And so thoughtful for the gift in the 4th present. I don't know whats wrong with you, but last year I had FOUR.. YES FOUR horrible horrible things from the doctor which made last year the worst year of my LIFE, they're things that i've got to put up with *forever* but can start to deal with them now! I can't say too much if I don't know what it is, but I know what it feels like, and I really hope things get sorted out for you!

Ah thank you for your film reviews! I've been tempted by Your Highness but not so much now, and I'm dying to see Arthur, just been trying to convince my boyfriend and I'm not sure he's sold yet...

Looks like a lovely week. Congratulations on winning goodies- lovely to have things arrive like that. Loving the thoughtful postal gift too.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fab weekend and enjoyed at least some good weather.
I'm a total cinema addict too- I'm glad I've been warned about Your Highness though, I love Pineapple Express and was expecting laughs aplenty- I think I'll see Thor instead! My brother couldn't work out if he'd seen Scream or Scary Movie when we went and saw Scre4m the other day-guess that what happens when people spoof a satire!
ReplyDeletev cute blog
