blackpool

Sorry for the picture heavy post but I just couldn't narrow it down to a few photos. I took my new camera to Blackpool and I'm finally understanding a lot more of the features and got some quite nice photos, in my opinion! Believe it or not I didn't actually get any photos of myself (well, there is 2 but apparently I was the only one who knew how to focus a camera and they're super blurry!) but posing was the last thing on my mind with all the beautiful scenery!










If any of you are thinking of having a cheap weekend away then I would definitely recommend Blackpool. It's only a 3 hour drive from Glasgow and lastminute.com has some brilliant deals on hotels. We stayed at the North Grange Hotel which I would definitely recommend. It's a bit out of the way (about an hour of leisurely strolling to the central pier or 10 minutes by tram which stops right outside the hotel) but this also meant that it was nice and quiet.

We went to the Pleasure Beach and screamed our lungs out on the rollercoasters, walked up and down the piers sampling some strawberry and bubblegum ice-cream (the man behind the counter thought it was a peculiar combination of flavours!) and spent far too much money in the amusements trying to win cuddly toys and keyrings. One of my highlights of the trip was eating at La Piazza restaurant where I had the freshest pasta and the nicest mushroom alfredo I have ever tasted. If I go back to Blackpool this place will be at the very top of my "things to do" list!

Thank you to everyone who commented or tweeted with suggestions for things to do, especially Danielle who was a huge help in directing us in the right direction for lethal cocktails and cool bars!

    I need to get to grips with the settings on my camera, these photos are lovely.
    I've never been to Blackpool (well, when I was like five I went apparently, don't remember though!) and I really want to go back. We should totes have a bloggers weekend there, IMAGINE HOW MESSY IT WOULD BE.

    I've said this before but you always take the most dreamy pictures :) what do you do in terms of editing, if you don't mind me asking? Glad you had a great time lass. How HORRIBLE is the pepsi max? Hahaha oh my I was terrified :( Also, did you go on valhalla? dont think the ponchos make a difference, you still get soaked. I went to blackpool a couple of months ago so when I see you next we shall have to compare notes :) xx

    Oh wow beautiful pictures, I remembering going up to Blackpool when I was really young and I remember thinking how grotty the beach was :P Looks like it's been cleaned up a bit since then !!
