I recently won a pair of Enrapture Totem Stylers from Emma's giveaway and couldn't wait to try them. My hair is very stubborn, and naturally straight, so it's near impossible for me to create lasting curls. Having straight hair gets boring though, and I've always wanted to be able to create an effortless style with loose waves. I've tried quite a few different curling wands in the past to try and achieve the look but after seeing a few reviews on this styler from other bloggers I really wanted to try it!
The styler works differently from any other I've used before. It has three individual heat areas on the wand which you control with the three dials, each numbered 1, 2 and 3, with 1 being the coolest and 3 being the hottest. There are lots of different combinations to use, and due to the way the wand is heated, each creates a different type of curl or wave. I first tried the combination 1-2-1, but found that it wasn't hot enough to make any difference to my hair. I decided to stick with the same cool-hot-cool combination but turn the settings to to 2-3-2 and it worked perfectly! Within 10 minutes I had created lovely loose waves at the ends of my hair and with a bit of hairspray they last all day.
I've been really impressed with it so far. This is only my third attempt (and I'm pretty rubbish at hair styling!) but it's getting easier to use each time, and my waves are becoming neater too. I can't wait to experiment with other combinations either! These are definitely the best hair stylers I've used, my only complaint would be that they don't come with a heatproof glove and I've burnt my fingers a few times.
If you're interested in buying these, Currys currently have them on sale at £39.97 instead of the usual £74.99 - bargain!
Your hair looks lovely :) These sound really good, I like how you're able to control the heat settings! x
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's why I wanted to try them! I haven't seen another styler like them. x

You should - it's definitely worth the money, especially the sale price of £40! x
DeleteVery interesting idea! Adding to my list of "things to try someday..."
ReplyDeleteDefinitely do, it's great! I can't stop talking to my friends about it! x
DeleteYour hair looks really nice, might ask for a pair myself ;)
ReplyDeleteYou should, late Christmas present ;) x
DeleteThey look so cool - your hair is really pretty <3 I'm following :)
ReplyDeleteEllen xx
Thank you! x
DeleteWow they look amazing! Once my hair is longer I really need to invest in a good curling iron to get those pretty style curls!

My hair has actually just got to the perfect length for styling, so I feel your pain! x
DeleteThe heatproof gloves are awful to wear anyway. You end up with such a sweaty hand afterwards and it feels like its melting while you're styling. x
ReplyDeleteAww really? I thought they'd be better than burning your finger tips! x
DeleteYour hair looks amazing! I keep getting so tempted by these and £40 is an amazing bargain so I might have to go for it?! I just don't know if my hair is long enough for proper styling yet?!

Thank you! I'd definitely recommend them. There's so many different 'types' of curls and waves you can create too so it's quite versatile! I think your hair is long enough, even if you just curl the ends to add a bit of volume! x
DeleteCurly hair seems to be very popular lately! I'm loving my conical wand at the moment too :)
ReplyDeleteIt does, doesn't it? I've always wished for curly hair - straight gets boring! x
DeleteI really want to try these, I love that you can set different sections at different heats and at £40 in the sale, they're a bargain!
ReplyDeleteThe different heat feature is something I've never been before and it seems to be the secret to making my hair curl! x
DeleteYour hair looks great! I'm so useless at curling mine but these sound so easy to use! x
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks really nice, I love a softer wave look rather than big ringlets! This styler looks really nice. I have the remington pearl wand and I love it, it literally does my hair in about 5 mins!
ReplyDeleteThey look really good! Makes your hair look great..

Your hair looks great! I really like the lose waves look. I love the enrapture range, I got the jumbo waver for Christmas and did a review on my blog too, think I may have to check these stylers out now though, such a bargain how could I resist :D x
ReplyDeleteThese look amazingly crazily good, your hair is lush! £70 is ridiculous though so good thing they-re on sale! I'm always awful with this type of stuff - I make such a mess with even a conical wand, so a no go for me - But I'd love to try this <3 xx
ReplyDeleteThis looks so fab! Oh I really want this now!
