the snug

When I last posted about my home, I mentioned that we were in the process of re-arranging the back half of our main room (not that there was much to re-arrange - it was all a bit bare!) and transforming it into 'the snug', a second living room area to chill out in. A few months on, and it's finally the cosy little space we had imagined and I'm so happy with it!

You can read my previous post here which shows you what it was like before - what an improvement! We've now moved the dining table into the space in the middle of the room, opposite the pillar, and the whole room feels a lot less empty.

The snug is now one of my favourite places to spend my time at home, and 'snug' is definitely the perfect description for how you feel in this little space as you sit and relax, watching the fish (Pearl, Orlando and Muir - the latest additions to the household and Prince's favourite things to watch) with a few candles lit and all of my favourite blogs to catch up with on my iPad.

    That looks beautiful! It looks so cozy, it feels like a corner of a fancy niche cafe where people drink snazzy coffees and read poetry to each other of an evening!

    Aw it looks like such a perfect, cosy little space. I always associate lots of cushing and brown leather with comfort :) A huge chunky throw over would make it even better in winter. xx

    I love, love, LOVE your flat. My mum's from Glasgow so I've always grown up going there and I want to live there so badly (especially if you find gems like this!).. but I think I still have a few more years of convincing my fella!
