I've really been enjoying getting active, trying things that I wouldn't usually say yes to (more on that in my next post!) and having fun so when the team at AERO got in touch, offering me the fun package of an adult space hopper (or as they call it, the bubble hopper!) and some yummy Aero chocolate I couldn't say no!
They set me the challenge of putting my creativity to work and having as much fun as I could with the Bubble Hopper! I've been hopping around my flat all week getting to grips with the Bubble Hopper (and oh man, they are bouncy - I can't remember falling off as often when I was a kid!), having my flatmate Jonny laugh at me for looking ridiculous, and burning off a few calories in the process so that I can enjoy some chocolate! Did you know 10 minutes of hopping around burns off roughly 40 calories? Brilliant! Even Prince couldn't resist getting involved.
As much fun as simply bouncing around is, I wanted to do something a bit more and with it being my birthday today (YAY!), I thought I'd add a bit of Bubble Hoppin' fun into my birthday celebrations. I'm having a cocktail party tomorrow night, and decided to mix up my favourite drink (a white Russian) into an Aero themed cocktail. Let me introduce you to the Bubble Hoppin' Mint cocktail!
Ingredients:
1 shot of Vodka
1 shot of Creme de Menthe
Enough milk to fill the glass
Directions:
This one is nice and easy! Pour all 3 ingredients into a cocktail mixer with a few ice cubes, shake shake shake, and then strain and pour into your glass. Mmmm, minty alcoholic milkshake!
I'll be serving these to my party guests, and in return everyone will be having a little hop around on the bubble hopper because no matter how silly you may look (and believe me, I looked ridiculous - you should see some of the outtakes!) it's a hell of a lot of fun!
Now the part where I get you all involved!
To be in with a chance of winning a Bubble Hopper of your own, aswell as lots of yummy Aero Bubbles, leave a comment telling me how you would use your Bubble Hopper in a different and unusual way.
The top 5 suggestions will then be selected, and you should hear back by 12th August if you're one of the lucky ones! Please make sure that your ideas are safe, innovative and original!
I would use my hopper to commute to work - the tube is a grumpy place at the best of times, but at rush hour (!!!!!) FULL of moody faces.. I am sure it would brighten up the journey (at least for me anyway). Also, how fun would it be to 'bubble hop' down Oxford Street!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely going to have to give the cocktail a go! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVELY!!!! :) x
wow! this looks so much fun! xx
ReplyDeleteHaha I think I would use mine to make the walk to my allotment more enjoyable - once there I could squash the weeds by bouncing them as well, I guess!
ReplyDeleteYour cocktail looks, and sounds, amazing!! Mmm-mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI would use my bubble hopper to bounce on at work - I look after kids for a living and we have hoppers at work so would have loads of fun racing with the kids!
Happy birthday, and have a brilliant party! xx
If I had a space hopper I would use it to help my journey to get fit and maybe do a space hopper mile (or 3, raise a little money for charity) and as a chair while I wait for the kettle to boil. boing boing boing.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! :)
I would hop down to the pond & disguise the hopper as a Queen frog - getting the frogs to follow me to work to scare my boss. I'd then get the day off & spend a sunny afternoon in the garden serenading my minions with the frog chorus.
ReplyDeleteif that doesn't work id just hop around the living room annoying the neighbours :)
You look like you're having so much fun! I would use a bubble hopper to walk my dog - that would make a chore not such a chore!

This is such a fantastic idea, looks like great fun! Happy Birthday as well, I'm sure it was a great one spent on that bubble hopper!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, the juice diet definitely doesn't look as fun as this!!
Phaze x
I'd use the hopper on the school run. I'd be the coolest Mum at school!
ReplyDeleteI'd use the hopper to get around the office, a 12hr nightshift can get VERY boring so doing a few las around the office would stop my legs going dead and help to keep me awake...I could also use it as a pilates type balance ball at my desk at home :-)
ReplyDeleteOoo and I could also see if I can balance the hedgheog on it lol xx

I'd hop around the house, scaring Autumn and Winter! I'm a mean cat mummy. But they'd love it really!
ReplyDeleteI would use it as a fun way of passing the remote between me and with wife.
ReplyDeleteI would love to use it to bounce down the stairs or bounce out the window... Failing this I will use it to bounce around, help me loose some weight and let my little boy enjoy it too! x
ReplyDeletei would use the hopper to collect my grandson from playschool. we could do a tandem hop! obviously he would be wearing a crash hat, knee and elbow pads!
ReplyDeletei would us a hopper to walk the dog.. i could just see me bouncibg along behind him
ReplyDeletei would give it to my daughter to use while she is in labour it would be great to take her mind off the pain with gentle bouncing and ears to hold the birth would fly by :)
ReplyDeleteI would use the Bubble Hopper to go shopping. I'm too small to reach the top shelves so I could bounce up and grab what I need!
ReplyDeleteI would use my hopper to bounce off my hubby when he refuses to help me with house work! Bouncing in front of the tv, while he's watching it, of course. ;)
ReplyDeletei would use the the bubble hopper as a unique piece of artwork id hang it on my wall
ReplyDeleteI would use it in the kitchen as a stepping stool so I can reach the things in the high cupboards. I am sure that the wobble will help improve my balance and I will be able to reach the high things! Win, win for me as I am only 5"2 and I could do with some toning!
ReplyDeletei would use it to nip the shop to buy even more aero bubbles :)
