As mentioned before, on Saturday I spent day day in the company of 22 other bloggers having afternoon tea, getting pampered and watching the ballet.
It all started at 11.30am at Blythswood Square where we sipped prosecco and mingled before heading to the screening room to watch a video about Alice. Afterwards the lovely Spa Director, Leon, spoke to us about the hotel, spa and it's famous guests, before inviting us back nextdoor for an Alice inspired afternoon tea. I have never seen so much food in my life! We had popping candy infused cupcakes, rich chocolatey brownies and Cheshire Cat inspired purple sponge cake along with some tea and even more prosecco.
Once we had all stuffed our faces with cake we were pampered by Rainbow Rooms who were on hand to trim hair and do pretty buns and other hairstyles, Smujj and their make up collection and some ladies from The Spa at Blythswood Square were giving everyone hand massages. Leon also gave us a tour of the spa, which I cannot wait to visit. It's so luxurious and exactly the sort of place you could spend absolutely hours in. I mean, just look at these photos!

Everyone then got into taxis and we were taken to Theatre Royal for the matinée showing of Alice. I had never been to a ballet before, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was absolutely blown away by the performance.

The story is told in a series of 'episodes', which (shockingly) having not read the book, I found a little hard to follow at times. The set design was absolutely fantastic with the set moving around and changing seamlessly all throughout the performance, the costumes were perfect (especially loving the Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts!) and the dancing was unbelievable. I can't believe how petite Alice was, and how flexible they all are. I enjoyed it so much and can definitely see myself going to more ballet performances now!

And if we hadn't already been spoiled enough, everyone also received a goodie bag crammed full with lots of lovely products including false lashes, hair products, complimentary spa vouchers (which I cannot wait to use!) and a mini bottle of Gin. A special thank you to Lion Loving Tiger for the gorgeous Rox bracelet too!
Afterwards we snapped some group photos before going our separate ways - some people going home and others staying out for food and a few drinks in town. I had a brilliant day and would like to thank everyone who was involved in organising the event! Here's to more Scottish meet-ups! :)
